The church is located in the uniquely quaint city of Bend. Located on the Deschutes River, in central Oregon. West are the lakes and peaks of the Cascade Mountains, with ski resorts and multi-use trails. In town, a trail leads up Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano.
Bend, Oregon. It is one of those places people talk about with a kind of reverence. This small city, tucked into the dry side of the Central Cascades, home to just over 100,000 people, gets over 300 days of sunshine a year, yet Mt. Bachelor—just 22 miles away— collects an average of 462 inches of snow every winter.

Who we’re looking for…
An Executive Producer – The ideal candidate will be someone who sees the big picture clearly. They will have a deep understanding of the systems, processes and personnel it takes to execute a world class weekend experience and maintain a current, vibrant church brand.
A Ministry Veteran – The ideal candidate will be someone who has been doing it at a very high level for a very long time. They have spent significant time leading in a context of similar size and scope. The value of experience cannot be overstated for this role.
A Cultural Sponge – The ideal candidate will be someone who has their pulse on the culture of today. They will also have a tendency to think outside of the box and not be afraid to approach ministry in a way that will be sure to resonate with the world we live in.
A Decisive Leader – The ideal candidate will be someone who makes decisions in a timely manner that reflects the vision values of the organization. They will design clear courses of action and implement steps with measurable goals that move the creative team forward.
A Strategic Thinker – The ideal candidate will be someone who brings immense insight and value to the Executive Leadership team at Journey. They will have the ability to see outside of their own silo and speak in to the global ministry integration of the organization at large.
A Creative’s Pastor – The ideal candidate will be someone who is a dynamic team builder and proven mentor to creatives of all disciplines. They will have the ability to pull the most out of their personnel while also creating an environment that builds consensus, symmetry and integration across the team.
