The story behind Lake Sawyer Church…
In 1958, what started out as a bible study in a log cabin, quickly became a church. As the community grew, so did the church, and it would build and move to other larger facilities over the next 40 years, but remained the church for the people in this area.
In 2018, Pastor Mike Ferrulli accepted the call to become the next Lead Pastor, and the church continues to grow reaching more young families each year, and is on track to baptize more people this year than any single year in its history.
Today, Lake Sawyer Church has 25,000 square foot facilities on 20 acres. There are 1000+ people who call Lake Sawyer Church their home, with 650+ each weekend in attendance. This location has put them in the hub of explosive growth with expected population in the surrounding community to more than double in the next 5 years.
The church is located in Black Diamond, Washington, only 35-45 minutes away from the Seattle-Tacoma Int'l Airport and downtown Seattle. It's near excellent local schools, great neighborhoods, and is surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, lush green forests, and abundant outdoor adventure opportunities.

A Strategic Developer – The ideal candidate will be someone who sees the big picture clearly. They will have a deep understanding of the systems and programs it takes to sustain a world class Student Ministry.
A Ministry Savant – The ideal candidate will be someone who has been doing it at a high level. They will have spent time leading in a context of similar size and scope.
A Church Sponge – The ideal candidate will be someone who has their pulse on what’s working in Church today. They will also have a tendency to think outside of the box and approach ministry in a way that resonates with the world we live in.
A Leader’s Pastor – The ideal candidate will be someone who is a steady team manager and proven mentor to other staff and ministry leaders. They will have the ability to pull the most out of their personnel while also creating an environment that builds consensus, symmetry and integration across the team.
