City of Grace is a multi-site church with locations in Phoenix & Mesa. The church is committed to being a people inspired by love, empowered by grace, and engaged in community.

The Worship Pastor will partner with the Creative Pastor, Drea Crist in stewarding the weekend experience at City of Grace. The church team at large, is looking forward to the contribution that the ideal candidate will make. The right candidate will be an absolute dynamic leader on the platform, with highly developed musical sensibilities and a strong pastoral presence.

The city of Phoenix is known for its eclectic downtown scene, phenomenal dining, countless parks and trails, along with 330 days of sunshine every year. The greater Phoenix Metro area is the 5th largest in the country with 4.5 million residents.

Terry & Judith Crist

As fifth generation pastors, they have been building the local church and helping hurting people for over 30 years. Terry is passionate about community transformation and promotes adoption and foster care through his work in state government. An avid outdoorsman and gifted communicator, he has adventured and preached the gospel in over 64 nations. Judith leads the executive staff, and has devoted her life to teaching, training leaders, and championing the cause of women through Sisterhood. They have three sons, Terry III, Joshua, and Tyler, but their true pride and joy is their grandchildren, Asher Phoenix, Alexandria Sophia, Victorian Johannes and Emil Magnus. The entire Crist family is engaged in loving, serving, and spreading the good news of Jesus.

A Spiritual Guide – The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about helping people experience the presence of God in a dynamic worship environment. They will be able to lead people into God’s presence in dynamic and creative ways.

A Proven Replicator – The ideal candidate will be someone who has a track record of developing teams both spiritually and musically. They will find immense fulfillment in pastoring and mentoring their team.

A Strong Musician – The ideal candidate for this position will bring a very high level of competency in their craft. They will be able to articulate and communicate well with each section of the band.

An Intentional Producer – The ideal candidate will be someone who understands how vibrant, Christ-centered worship connects with both believers and the spiritually curious. They will strive to make worship experiences accessible to people from all backgrounds.

A Valued Partner – The ideal candidate will be someone who instinctively works well with others. They will be carriers of the vision of the organization and champion the worship expression across the campuses and ministries of the organization.
