Looking for options?

The first option.

A Retained Search

In a Retained Search, we conduct the national search for your candidate, thoroughly vet all top level candidates, coordinate the interview process and help you onboard the hired candidate successfully. The search fee is typically paid in two or more installments, based on benchmarks we establish with you. A retained search includes a complete Opportunity Assessment, the creation of a Position Profile and formal reporting to your team regarding our efforts.

The second option.

A Contingent Search

In a Contingent Search, we agree that when we identify a candidate for you whom you ultimately hire, you will pay a finder’s fee. There is no upfront cost. This option is highly attractive to organizations that have great clarity on the role they are hiring for. Typically, organizations that take this route prefer to play a primary role in vetting candidates. They simply haven’t been satisfied with the level of candidate they’ve been able to engage on their own.

The Opportunity Assessment

An Opportunity Assessment is a series of meetings between you and one of our search consultants where we seek to fully understand and successfully translate the opportunity at hand as well as your context. A major benchmark in a Retained Search, this is especially helpful if your organization is feeling stuck or embarking on major organizational change. These meetings take place by phone, video conference and ultimately a personal visit over a long weekend. We interview everyone associated with the search, certain staff and others with an eye to creating a Position Profile.

We use this to engage potential candidates.

The Position Profile

A Position Profile is created to convey your opportunity in an accurate and compelling way. The primary recruiting asset used in both a Contingent Search and Retained Search, it will include information you supply to us and our observations after interacting with you personally. The goal of the Position Profile is to provide prospective candidates the information they need to determine their interest to engage in the process. Here is an example of a Position Profile.
